PCE Patient Spotlights

At Prosthetic Center of Excellence, our patients inspire us daily. We especially enjoy working with Molly. She is an amputee of both her lower extremities but, as Molly puts it, “I never did give up.”

Molly says she’s doing “great” right now. For that she credits her attitude and the staff at PCE saying, “I just always try to stay positive.” She added, “The folks (at PCE) are beautiful. So nice. So encouraging.”

“I tried other places (before PCE),” Molly said, “but I’d probably be doing even better now if I had found these people long ago. They check on me. They teach me to exercise. And now, I move much more.”

“Every day I just try to move forward and look to the future” Molly shared. Definitely words to live by! We are so grateful Molly came into our lives.

We have loved working with our patient, Bentley. He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at 4 months old. With his Hypotonia, or low muscle tone, he had a flat spot on his head which made wearing a helmet necessary.

According to Bentley’s mom, Tori, he is doing great. She has been a big fan of Prosthetic Center of Excellence’s service saying, “PCE was super personable, always asked if we needed anything, spent time with Bentley, and even came out to support him during the MD walk.”

We are thrilled to see Bentley doing so well. He, along with all of our patients, inspires us.

We are so proud of our young patient, Malakai, who is making great progress with his braces! He has done a wonderful job of healing and developing as he needs to and he has never, for one moment, let his braces slow him down.

We are encouraged by Malakai’s great and energetic spirit.
